Breakthrough
“You can start with nothing. And out of nothing, and no way, a way will be made.” ~ Michael Bernard Beckwith
The climax of every heroic tale is when the hero is in his darkest hour, battling fears and doubts and exhaustion. He is seemingly defeated. In the midst of all hope lost.. and on the precipice of certain disaster…when he is ready to give up.. Suddenly there’s a plot twist. A miraculous turn of events. Something unknown becomes known. The impossible becomes possible. And suddenly there’s a breakthrough.
In the bleakest of times, when you have given your all to meet failure after failure, disappointment, rejection, heartache… when all of the fight within you has been tested and exhausted… all but extinguished… when all hope is seemingly lost, and you just can’t take anymore…Suddenly, something gives way. A breakthrough transpires. And suddenly everything changes.
We’ve all been at rock bottom. All of our efforts to get ahead seem to be digging us deeper in a rut. We are stuck and frustrated. We are struggling to accomplish the tasks set in front of us, and we can’t seem to catch a break. We can’t seem to get ahead. We can’t even seem to stay afloat. It all seems futile and overwhelming… like we’re fighting a lost cause. The world seems to be working against us. The only way to keep pressing forward is to hold out a little hope that we will meet our ‘and suddenly’. That we will have a breakthrough. We need to believe that breakthroughs and miracles are real, and that they can happen to us. They are within reach. We have to have faith in that. Faith that everything will turn out for the better. Faith that things will turn in our favor. Faith that goodness always prevails, if we just don’t give up.
“Faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” ~ Hebrews 11:1
When you do not know what to do, just keep doing what you know to be right. That is all you can do. Keep working on that assignment. And have faith that if you just keep doing the right things, something good will come of that. Have faith in the promise of better things to come. Faith will give us the courage…beaten, broken, and bruised.. to press forward anyways. “Be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” ~ Corinthians 15:7. Breakthroughs are coming, just stay the course.
“Life’s greatest difficulties always happen right before life’s greatest breakthroughs.” ~ Billy Cox
It’s the times of struggle that reveal a man to himself. Through fire, and under pressure, it is in the times of suffering that your character is forged. The times of incredible hardship are also the times of incredible transformation. These trials prepare you. They test your resolve and try your faith. They sharpen your grit and resilience. They reveal your weaknesses so that you may address them. They break you and then they make you. They ready you for what you are aiming for.
“No pressure, no diamonds.” ~ Thomas Carlyle
Even though we can’t see it, we must have faith in the promise of greater things to come. “The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.” ~Frank Loyd Wright. Choose to believe amazing things are about to take place. Choose to believe the world is ready to shower miracles on your little head. Breakthroughs are afoot. They ache for the coming. Every strife, every sacrifice, and everything that you have endured will be worth it. You fight for the good, and the good will fight for you. Have faith in that, and you will meet breakthroughs. Have faith in that, and you will meet miracles.
