10 Day Morning Magic Challenge
“Give everyday the chance to become the most beautiful day of your life.” ~ Twain
Sometimes the tasks of life can be a little lackluster, mundane, and disenchanting. Sometimes a new activity or healthy routine can refresh and revamp your life. I’m proposing a mini 10 Day Morning Magic Challenge to help kick start your day.
I am not a morning person, but I have learned to make the most of my mornings. Mornings set the tone for the duration of the day. They are important and deserve a little attention and intention to set your days up for success. I am all about efficiency. The 10 day Morning Magic Challenge is a power packed 5 step morning routine that can be completed in 20 minutes and can yield tremendous results. I believe any positive movement in the right direction creates momentum for further positive growth. 10 days is a short enough amount of time to be able to commit to the steps consistently. I find sticking to any goal and seeing it through builds confidence and self discipline. And a little confidence and self discipline can move mountains.
Step 1: Gratitude
Every morning list at least 3 things you’re grateful for. Really hold these things in appreciation and in awe of how wonderful and important they are to you in your life. I believe expressing gratitude is the most powerful and positive thing you can do to change your life. Gratitude is the keys to the kingdom of manifestation, happiness, and fulfillment. Start each day with a grateful heart and grateful mind and you will be a formidable host against any adversity life can throw your way.
Step 2: Move
Begin your day with 10 minutes of whatever exercise you please. Dance. Run. Do yoga. Do push ups, sit ups, squats…whatever…any activity that wakes you up, gets your blood flowing, and invigorates you. I personally do the 5 Tibetans 5 times, and dance 2 songs on my coffee table. It makes me happy. Have fun with it. Do what you can. Do what you want. Just move.
Step 3: Eat
Fuel yourself with something consistent. There’s a theory that we only have so much decision making capacity per day. I personally do not want to exhaust that limited brain power standing in front of my fridge contemplating ‘what should I eat?’ first thing in the morning every morning. It’s time saving and beneficial to have a daily consistent breakfast. Everyday I eat salmon for breakfast. Like a bear. It’s good fuel and it’s automatic. I do not waste a second thought about it, and It’s a delicious and nutritious way to start the day.
Step 4: Affirmations
Speaking affirmations into your life can change your entire belief system. Your words have power. Write down at least 5 note cards of 1-2 sentences or phrases that you can speak to yourself in the mirror every morning. Speak the things you want to be. Speak the things you want to see. Speak the things you need to believe in. And watch them all come to fruition.
Step 5: Visualization
What you think about, you bring about. Every great and successful person will attest to that. Make a clear vision in your mind for what you want in your life. The best way I have found to enforce visualization in my life has been to write down a few of the things I want to materialize in my life and go through them individually during my morning commute. Use 5-10 small sheets of paper and write down in one or a few words what you want to visualize. You can write broad items such as work, money, school, love, children, travel, material items, or specific goals you wish to manifest. Fold them into squares and keep them in a ziplock bag in your car. Every morning on your commute grab each paper out of the bag one at a time and spend 30 seconds to a minute visualizing each one. Visualize those items in your life. Everyday you will see your visions become bigger, and brighter, and more in focus. What you visualize you materialize. Use that to your advantage.
This little 10 day Morning Magic Challenge is all about creating maximum results with minimal input. I’m all about saving time and making the most of my efforts. Implementing these five practices have brought nothing short of magic into my life. Try it on for size. You can commit to 10 days of an intentional 20 minute morning routine. And I hope in the process you bring a little bit of magic, clarity, happiness, and growth into your life. You’ve nothing to lose and everything to gain. 🙂
